Touring the Cupola House

Visitors to Edenton are encouraged to have a private tour of the the Cupola House, Tuesdays through Saturday, by contacting the Edenton State Historic Site Viisitor Center at (252) 482-2637. The center is located at 108 North Broad Street, Edenton, NC 27932. In addition to a tour of the Cupola House, the Center offers a variety of tours of Edenton’s historic treasures. on a daily basis. These tours include:

  • 1736 St. Paul’s Episcopal Church
  • 1767 Chowan County Courthouse
  • 1800/1827 Iredell House
  • 1886 Roanoke River Lighthouse
  • 1892 Zeigler House — Historic Edenton Visitor Center

The Cupola House is open on Sundays with volunteer Docents, March through November from 12 PM to 3 PM. Weekday tours are given Tuesday through Saturday by Edenton State Historic Sites Visitors Center.

You may enjoy the gardens on your own between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm daily.

The Cupola House is open during the year for special events such as the Candlelight Tour, the Pilgrimage Tour, and of course for our own “Easels in the Garden” event held every other year in April.
